Laura Oberbeck is
a New York based actor, originally from Columbia, Missouri. After traveling back and forth between Central America and Missouri throughout her childhood, Laura attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for acting where she was placed in the Experimental Theater Wing. She decided to advance her training at the Terry Knickerbocker Studio, completing the two-year Meisner intensive as well as the business of acting study. She recently started watching "Love Island" and the experience has been life-changing. Crack on!
Laura wrote and performed a 50-minute solo show titled "LAURA." The performance was staged at The PIT, NY Winterfest, and to sold-out crowds at Annoyance Theater NY (a New York Times featured venue). She has been featured on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and Chris Gethard Presents and is currently working on a new project (keep an eye open for updates). Her favorite holiday is Shark Week.
When Laura isn’t talking about herself in the third person (it’s weird!) she's casually mentioning the one time she ran the NYC marathon in almost every conversation she has (until the day I die!)
